The National Forest Adventure Pass is a recreational pass for visitors using the San Bernardino National Forest. If you are planning to go for a short walk or a hike, be advised that before you park your vehicle in the National Forest you must first purchase an Adventure Pass and hang it on your rear view mirror when you leave your vehicle. Forest Rangers regularly check vehicles to make sure they have the Pass. The Pass is available for purchase in two forms : a Daily Pass for $5 and an Annual Pass good for one year from the month of purchase for $35. There is a 50% discount for visitors with a Golden Age Passport. The Pass is available in Big Bear Lake at the Big Bear Discovery Center, 7-Eleven, Alpine Sports Center, Big Bear Bikes, Big Bear Sporting Goods, Butcher Block, Leroys, Oak Knoll Lodge, Pine Knot Campground, Shore Acres Lodge, Ski Haus, Wild Wings Unlimited. In Big Bear City at Crossroads Fuel & Foodmart. In Fawnskin at Big Bear Ranger District, Big Pine Flats Campground, Fawnskin Market, Hanna Flat Campground & Serrano Campground.
