ANYTHING BUT ORDINARY “the friendliest store in town” has moved to a new location in the Big Bear Lake Village. South of the Calvary Chapel on Stoker Rd. discover this expansive store that is the source for everything from needles and thread to a large assortment of fabrics, buttons, yarn, ceramics, party supplies and furniture. “Wow!” is often heard exclaimed when a customer finds that exceptional item that couldn’t be found anywhere else. When customers browse the unlimited items on display throughout A B O, they see suggestions for home décor, wall hangings, dressmaking styles, costuming and ideas for children.
ANYTHING BUT ORDINARY has been a familiar business in Big Bear Lake since 1995 when it was a factory outlet. Owner Charles Green kept busy with a large swap meet in Costa Mesa until 1997 when A B O grew into the industrious retail establishment it is today. It’s a pleasurable experience to explore displays from the embroidery machines by Sew Elegant, and the fine lace curtains by Heritage Lace. See the beautiful rustic wood furniture by Wild Bear (beds, armchairs, chest of draws etc.)and creative objects by Mountain Ceramics.
