Welcome to the Big Bear Horror Film Festival, where horror fans, filmmakers, and celebrities can mingle and share their grizzly stories in an atmosphere where creativity, intimacy and mutual interests reign supreme.
The Judges: Tom DeSanto who is a writer/producer of some of the biggest franchises in movie history -X-Men and Transformers. Michael Westmore is an Academy Award winning make-up artist who also received nine Emmy Awards, he is best known for his work on the Star Trek series. Harry Manfredini has scored over eighty films. His major feature credits include the Friday the 13th series. Felissa Rose is considered one of horro's top scream queens, she is best known for her role in the cult classic "Sleepaway Camp".
The 2011 gore genre friendly festival took place September 30 to October 2 2011 at the Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center. The event was a great sucess with great movies and even greater guests- if you missed it this year, be sure to go next year.
Screenings were open to all audiences and were included with day, two-day and weekend passes to the Festival.
