SWARM Continues Repairs on State Route 60

Weekend Congestion
San Bernardino, The California Department of
Transportation (Caltrans) 60 SWARM Projects continue on State Route 60 (SR-60) to
repair deteriorated pavement slabs and replace the Pipeline, Monte Vista and
Benson Avenue bridges. The
SR-60 Pavement Rehabilitation Project will continue this weekend with week
four, of fifteen weekends, of full directional closures of eastbound SR-60
between Interstate 15 (I15) and the 60/91/215 Junction in Riverside from Friday
at 10:00 P.M. through Monday at 5:00 A.M. There
are five remaining weekend closures of eastbound SR-60, followed by seven
weekend closures of westbound SR-60. All lanes and ramps are closed during the
directional closures.
There will
be no closures on Labor Day or Veterans Day holiday weekends. The
bridge replacement project; Wednesday, August 14th, eastbound SR-60 at
nighttime, lane closured, from Reservoir to Benson Avenue from 10:00 P.M. to
5:00 A.M. Westbound SR-60 nighttime lane closured from Benson Avenue to
Pipeline Avenue from 9:00 P.M. to 4:00 A.M. A.M. Both
eastbound and westbound on and off-ramps for Ramona and Central Avenue, closed
from 9:00 P.M. to 4:00 A.M. August 15th.The eastbound SR-60 full directional freeway and ramp closured from S. Reservoir
Street to Ramona Avenue from 11:00 P.M. to 4:00 A.M. August 16, westbound SR-60
full directional freeway and ramp closures from Ramona Avenue to S. Reservoir
Street took place from 11:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. A
traffic reconfiguration will occur on SR-60 west of I-15 for the duration of
the project. Lanes will be available in each direction on SR-60 during the daytime.
The speed limit will be lowered to 55 miles per hour within the project limits.
