The fun begins Saturday morning at 10:00 AM on the north shore of Big Bear Lake with the whimsical wacky Old Miners Doo Dah Parade in Fawnskin. .
The weekend family fun activities offer great live entertainment, community projects and the ambiance of the mountain outdoor setting in the pines.
The famous Apple Pie Contest by the Women of the Moose will be held early Saturday afternoon. The Big Bear Zoo will return with resident animals and the latest plans for the forthcoming zoo to be on North Shore Drive.
For six years the Precious Dog Show has drawn contestants from all over Southern California. The dogs, well groomed with some in costume, line up early to show off for the crowd at 10:00 AM and conclude with a parade of their very own.
Exhibitors and vendors booths with American Indian Artifacts, Service Groups, Kid-Friendly Displays, food & treats and unique arts & crafts will be on display for the weekend. Some of the special attractions include the Peak Climbing Wall, Bear Valley Cruisers, the Shutter Bug Exhibit and the Dunk Tank.
