Boat Tours of Big Bear Lake - year round. The beautiful Miss Liberty is a replica of the grand riverboats that traveled on the Mississippi River in the 1800’s. This grand Paddlewheel boat is 64 feet long,18 feet wide and 24’6” high. She has a fully enclosed lower deck, and a fully-shaded, open upper deck with seating. The Miss Liberty was refurbished in 2006 and the beautiful aluminum ceiling you will see in the downstairs galley was salvaged from a New Orleans boat that was damaged in Hurricane Katrina. The elegant salon deck offers a snack bar and soft drinks.

Big Bear Valley’s newest and most exciting tour boat is docked at Pine Knot Landing in the Pine Knot Marina just north of The Village. This hour and a half narrated cruise offers non-stop photo opportunities that will delight everyone in your family or group. As you cruise along the shoreline, to and from the Big Bear Dam you can see some of the beautiful lakefront homes that you can’t see from the street, along with the historic cabins built among the boulders and the fascinating China Island, also know as Garstin Island. As the Miss Liberty quietly glides through the waters of Big Bear Lake passengers enjoy hearing about the area’s fascinating history, folklore and the distinctive tourist attractions. Big Bear is often referred to as Hollywood’s ‘back lot’. Hear about the early days of filmmaking with stars like Clarke Gable, Alan Ladd, Roy Rogers and many others.

Some exciting news is that this winter, weather permitting, you will be able to take lake cruises while the shoreline and surrounding mountains are covered with snow. This is a first for Big Bear Lake and everyone from locals to tourists will be lining up to view our winter wonderland from the Miss Liberty.

We take reservations year round. Boarding the Paddlewheel is fully handicapped accessible. Groups should arrive 15 minutes before departure and groups with special needs should arrive 20-30 minutes before departure. The Paddlewheel is a non-smoking vessel.
