On the north side of Deadman’s Ridge overlooking Lake Erwin there are 5000 Scotch Pine, Colorado Blue Spruce, and other evergreen trees standing stately, ready to enhance homes for the Holiday Season. In 1983, Dr. Fred Sattler’s ranch became Big Bear Tree Farm and nursery with the planting of several thousand evergreen seedlings that continued through the years - that has increased to a yield of 15,00 trees. There are several acres of beautiful lush green foliage that has been carefully tended by Angel Licona. Neighbor Captain John Saunders has jumped in to help sell the beautiful trees.
Many of the trees that are ready for Christmas harvest, measure up to a majestic 15 feet. Take the family out to the Big Bear Tree Farm to experience selecting the perfect tree from the unlimited choices. Due to cold weather and dormant conditions, the needle fall and drying are not a problem with normal care. There are healthy take-home potted trees ranging from small table size up to 12 foot tall. These living trees can be transplanted to your garden after the holidays.
So that you can pick and cut your favorite Christmas Tree, call 505-2945 for directions to the Big Bear Tree Farm.
