at the Knickerbocker Mansion

An eclectic concert of instrumental and vocal selections will offer a menu of classical, standards, country and current hits by the Mountain Top Strings, Sunday afternoon August 3.  At the Knickerbocker Mansion of Big Bear Lake, the Strings & Sings Concert will begin at 3:00 P.M. with an incredible performance to meet guests exquisite melodic taste.   

In the atmosphere of the historic mansion, the young musicians will perform selections composed by Bach to Coldplay under the direction of Sharon Rizzo. The Strings & Sings Concert will feature the original Mountain Marvelettes quartet—Jodi Cline, Tori Waner, Jessica Brasher and Kyler Carmody— singing 60’s tunes, and Dakota Panczak, a country/pop vocalist who will soon be touring with the Young Americans. All five vocalists received training at the music studio of Diane Sloan.

A lively Mozart trio for voice, flute and piano round out the program, featuring Diane Sloan, Lisa Waner and Barbara King. Mountain Top Strings is a member of the The Lighthouse Project, that has supported many cultural activities for ypung people of the Big Bear community.

Strings & Sings Concert tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. Wine, beer and soda will be available for purchase before the concert and during intermission. The Knickerbocker Mansion is located in Big Bear Lake at 869 Knickerbocker Road.

 Following the concert, the new owners of The Knickerbocker Inn welcome concert guests to stay and dine at The Knickerbocker Bistro. A special menu with a vegetarian alternative will be served at a cost of $25 per person plus an automatic 20% gratuity.
