Shortly after midnight on Friday October 30th, Big
Bear Sheriff Deputies of the Station responded to a call of a ‘man down’. Upon the
arrival of the Sheriff Deputies, they discovered a male subject lying in the
roadway, south of Big Bear Boulevard and Starvation Flats Road (landmark
intersection of the AM/PM Arco Station).
The subject was transported by Big Bear Fire ambulance to
Bear Valley Community Hospital and pronounced deceased. Investigators believe
the subject was the victim of a homicide. The young man’s name is being withheld
pending notification to next of kin.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Homicide Division responded to
Big Bear Lake and are working with the Detectives of the Big Bear Sheriff’s
Station, to investigate the murder.
