ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL
The
Big Bear Sheriff in partnership with
the Department of Alcoholic Beverage
Control (ABC), will host a FREE Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) seminar
on Thursday November 20, 2014 from 9:00 A.M.
until 1:00 P.M. at the Big Bear Elks Lodge located at 40611 Village Drive in
Big Bear Lake.
RBS
is a free seminar, voluntary prevention and education program for retail
licensees, their employees and applicants. The RBC seminar will give ABC
licensees and servers:
>Practical
information on serving alcoholic beverages safely and responsibly, and to
prevent illicit drug activity at the licensed establishment;
>
Information on acceptable identification; information on the best way to check
identification and how to refuse service;
>
The facts about criminal, civil, and ABC liability;
>
An update on California alcohol laws;
>
Helpful handouts and an RBS completion card for all attendees.
ABC
expects and encourages licensees to act responsibly relative to their alcoholic
beverage license privileges.
The
mission of the RBS program is to provide high quality, effective and
educationally sound training on alcohol responsibility and the law to
California retail licensees and their employees.
All
ABC licensees and their employees are encouraged to attend this free seminar.

Sheriff Station at (909) 866-0103. Seating is limited. Attendees will need to
bring a copy of their ABC license on the day of training and arrive a few
minutes early to sign in, as the program will begin promptly at 9:00 A.M.
