D.C.____Representative Paul Cook issued the
following statement January 9th on Rep. Steve King's recent
controversial and racist remarks:
"Unfortunately, Rep. Steve King's
latest remarks regarding white supremacy are only the latest example in a
pattern of racist statements and actions dating back years. Whether deriding
racial minorities at home or cavorting with Nazis and white supremacists
abroad, Mr. King brings dishonor to himself, the party of Abraham Lincoln, and
his nation. Racists have no place in public life, and we should reconsider
whether Mr. King has the moral authority to continue serving in Congress."
