‚ÄčChristmas Eve  

  Near Erwin Lake on State Drive   

 

Christmas Eve Wednesday, December 24, 2014, a few minutes before 6:00 P.M., Victor Santana, was driving his late model sports car at a high rate speed, northbound on State Route 38 south of State Drive. Just as the car entered a curve in the roadway, Santana lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle traveled off the paved roadway and struck a large tree.  21 year old, of Sugarloaf, was killed instantly in the collision.  

 Arrowhead Area CHP Officer Benjamin Baker, arrived on scene and notified on-duty supervisor, who responded to the scene, also. 

San Bernardino County Deputy Coroner Investigator J. Hernandez responded to the scene and is conducting the death investigation. CHP Officer Alan Stevens is investigating the cause of the collision.
