At the State Assembly, in Sacramento, California, Assemblyman Jay Obernolte (R-Hesperia) was presented with the National Federation of Independent Business Guardian of Small Business Award, Wednesday, March 20th. The award was given to the recipient for his consistently supporting entrepreneurship and championing small businesses in the Legislature.

Assemblyman Obernolte is a recognized leader in the field of computer technology and also the founder/owner of a successful videogame company, Farsight Studios located in Big Bear Lake, California. Today, Jay Obernolte employs dozens of local residents, as well as he continuously creates hundreds of jobs for aspiring individuals, since founding the company in his college dorm room, at Cal-Tech.

“As a business owner for the last three decades, I have been alarmed at how hostile our state has become to small businesses,” Obernolte stated. “I want young people in our community to have the same opportunities that I had when they decide to become entrepreneurs and start businesses. I will continue to fight for all small businesses to create jobs and provide for California families.”
