Monday, April 22, 2019 at 8:38 A.M. it was reported that smoke was coming from the forest area at State Route 38 and Mile Marker #13.  According to the Incident Command Center/Post the smoke was to the east of a fire set by lost hikers, who had been found previously. The wildfire grew to approximately an acre in a heavily forested, extremely steep and rough terrain that has made it difficult for San Bernardino County FireFighters, U S Forest Service Hot Shots and CalFire Crews to access ground attack.  Air Attack with fire retardant was immediately ordered to the fire area and controlling it to the original area.
