Adventure Van Expo in Big Bear Lake is the first in a series of four stops this summer. It’s the first stop in the tour and the first time in Big Bear. We chose this location because of its natural beauty and recreational activities such as mtn biking, trail running, and off road driving. At the show, there will be open house vans-vans that have been built out with great attention to detail by professional companies. This is not only an opportunity to see the interiors and exteriors of these vans but to meet the builders. There will be all kinds of accessory companies like Aluminess and Roambuilt-the two main roof rack, ladder companies in the industry. There will be opportunities to shop for accessories and parts for their van and overland or 4x4 equipment as well. And for attendees to network and show off their vans.

Not just vans! There is going to be a 4x4 Jeep terrain feature to ride at the venue, 4x4 products and accessories. There will be talks on solar, map reading and trip planning. We’ll also have food and beverage by a local BBQ company on site.

The weekend is a busy one in Big Bear. There will be a Mtn bike race both days, a trail race and the National Trails Day will be happening as well. So come to BB for a busy, fun filled time!

Adventure vans are self contained vehicles, the most common platform used is the Mercedes Sprinter-a 20 MPG+ Diesel and optionable 4x4 vehicle. They are self-contained wherever possible, use solar for cabin power and battery back-up systems-most do not have or need generators, hold their own water and waste. Many are decked out with mountain bike storage and  air compressor, mobile wi-fi systems, heated floors, refrigerators, showers/bathrooms, water filtration systems and comfortable beds.
