Big Bear Lake - Making their debut appearance in the Big Bear Valley and amphitheater stage on Saturday, August 30, is Led Zepagain, voted hands down by fans as the “World’s Greatest Tribute Band” to Led Zeppelin. “Dancing days are here again as the summer evenings grow . . . I said it's alright. You know it's alright . . .” A song about summer is fitting to help close a widely successful summer concert series Fawnskin at the Big Bear Discovery Center Amphitheater, known as Music in the Mountains, a fund raising concert series to help heal the forest with music.
Lead singer of internationally successful tribute band “Led Zepagain”, David Swan Montgomery is the voice of “Robert Plant” and has helped with the continued success of Led Zepagain; founded twenty years ago in Ventura, California by Tracy Longo. Swan is the longest serving member.
The group has toured the world including the U.S. and Canada, Europe, Japan, South America, etc., performing sold out shows worldwide in major international venues, concert halls, performing arts centers, etc. Swan was also invited to perform on stage with The Who vocalist Roger Daltry as well as being a guest vocalist with many other internationally known musicians.
Special guest, MountainTop Strings of California, will open the show featuring 15 of Big Bear’s top stringers to perform under the direction of Sharon Rizzo. Sharon is one of the founding members and cellist of the Bella Musica Quartet.
A beer, wine, and cocktail bar will be open for service and hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, kettle corn and more will also be available
Concert proceeds will benefit the Discovery Center and its year-round family weekend programming offered to over 200,000 annual visitors designed to create better caretakers of our treasured lands.
Tickets are on sale at www.MountainsFoundation.org. Gates open at 5pm; concert begins at 6pm.
