Thelma’s Family Restaurant & Bakery in Big Bear City specializes in home-style cooking and baked goods. Owners Mark & Elaine Henderson put out the welcome mat by 6:00am with freshly brewed coffee and hot chocolate ready to serve you. Thelma’s Family Restaurant & Bakery has been awarded the “Best Breakfast in Big Bear Valley” three times by Big Bear Magazine. Their Breakfast menu is such a huge success that they continue to serve breakfast until 3 pm. The Breakfast Menu has a great variety of choices from New York Steak & Eggs to fruit topped Buttermilk Hotcakes.
Thelma’s is known for serving a home-style taste with a hearty appetite and it is the home of Chef Pierre’s famous Chicken Pot Pies. Be sure and call ahead to reserve your Chicken Pot Pies. There are scrumptious Hamburgers, Jumbo Salads, Special Sandwiches and even a Healthy Choice Menu, too. The succulent Smokey Mountain Baby Back Pork Ribs are unforgettable! Other traditional favorites include Chicken, Pasta, Steaks and Seafood.
Whether you are coming for lunch or dinner, check out their Specials: on Saturday nights they have “All You Can Eat lip-smacking Beef Ribs” and every Wednesday & Sunday nights they feature “roasted to perfection” Prime Rib. Beverages include a selection of fine wines and beer on tap.

Please note: Thelma’s does not accept Credit Cards. They are open every day for Breakfast and Lunch from 6am to 3pm. They serve dinner from 4:30 to 9:00pm Wednesday thru Sunday. They do not serve Dinner on Monday and Tuesday evening.
