WINTER: It’s a Ski Lodge next to the slopes and sled runs! Ski-in, ski-out when it snows or walk a few steps to the slopes. When it snows you can walk to all kinds of sled runs – from gentle runs in the back yard for the little ones to steep runs a few steps away. We provide an assortment of sleds for your use. This upscale, Log-style home is located next to a major ski resort, on the edge of the National Forest, and is surrounded by trees to ensure privacy & tranquility.. This home is unique, because there are only a few vacation rentals in Big Bear Lake where you can ski from the home to the ski run.

There is a huge back yard that leads to the forest for the kids to play in while you relax, read a book or just enjoy breathtaking forest and ski slope views from the 2 large decks. Get in touch with nature by watching the parade of birds and cute forest critters. On the upper deck, dine or sip a glass of wine on the outdoor glass & metal bar with umbrella & swivel bar stools. There is also a canopy swing, a glider with canopy, a dining table & gas BBQ. The lower deck verandah features an aqua granite SPA to relax in after a day outdoors.

The home is light & airy with lots of glass doors & skylights. The Great Room has a U-shaped sofa, a 37" HDTV, a stone fireplace, three 6X7 glass doors giving an open feeling with great views. Grandma & grandpa can sit on the couch and watch the chairlift through the trees. The bedrooms also have 6X7 glass doors leading to the forest and hiking trails. There are 3 bedrooms downstairs & 1 and a half bedrooms upstairs. Log beds. The upstairs Bedroom (King bed) has a small bedroom off it with sturdy mission style bunk beds. The three downstairs bedrooms have Queen beds and one bedroom has its own stone fireplace. Western/ log décor throughout. Level driveway for easy parking when its icy.

Kitchen is fully equipped with new stainless steel appliances, coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, toaster oven, blender, Cappuccino machine and microwave. Clothes dryer. Four new TV’s. + 1 for the kids. 2 DVD’s & VCR. Accommodates up to 10 adults + 2 children = 12 people, perfect for families or a romantic ‘getaway’ for two.

SUMMER: Do the kids want to go Camping, but you want Luxury? - then this is the perfect home. Dad and the kids can Pitch a TENT (bring your own or use ours) and go camping in the forest without leaving the property. Scenic walks from your doorstep to hiking trails, the Zoo and the Golf Course. A four to five-minute drive will take you to the lake and the East Boat Ramp, located on the north shore, just west of the Stanfield Cut-off (1/2 block east of Vons). This is a public launch ramp for boats, jet skis, kayaks etc. and a great family picnic area.
