One Fatality and 3 Injured

   Head-on Traffic Collision

Soon after 2:00 P.M., Saturday 24, 2015, California Highway Patrol responded to a head-on collision, with an ambulance responding also, on State Route-18 and Siberian Creek Trail near the Snow Valley Ski Resort. Lisa Lynn Lehmann of Apple Valley, was driving (V-1) a 1990 Chevrolet southbound on SR-18. At the same time, Mark Steven Carter of Long Beach was driving (V-2) 2003 Ford northbound on SR-18.

Lehmann’s car crossed over the double yellow lines and drove into the northbound lane and into the path of Carter’s car.  Carter attempted to move out of the path of Lehmann’s car, resulting in V-1 colliding head-on with V-2.

Keary McCarthy was driving (V-3) 1992 Toyota northbound on SR-18 directly behind Carter car.  As Lehmann’s car collided with Carter’s car, the third car driven by McCarthy was unable to stop in time and collided into the rear of V-2.

All three vehicles came to rest on their wheels within the northbound lane of SR-18; with V-1 facing south with V-2 and V-3 facing north, blocking the northbound lane of SR-18.

Lisa Lynn Lehmann 51, was transported by medical personnel to Bear Valley Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Lehmann’s passenger, 43 year old, Dominick Sincak  of Apple Valley was transported by ambulance to Loma Linda University Hospital for treatment.

Both 61 year old Carter and his passenger 56 year old Jamie Denice Blazek of Middletown, VA were transported by ambulance to Bear Valley Community Hospital for treatment.
