Bear Valley Superintendent
of Schools Dr. Mary Suzuki states, “BVUSD's plans for reopening will be
dependent on the County of Public Health and guidance from the County Office of
Education. We are working on a variety of scenarios pending what the
direction is from the state and county. We will keep everyone posted via
our district website. If we are allowed to reopen in August, we will do
so with the social distancing and any other requirements specified by the
state.”
The
Bear Valley Unified School District,
Regular Board Meeting May 6, 2020 at 5:30PM, was conducted in accordance with
Governor Newsom's Executive Orders N-25-20 and N-29-20. Pursuant to said
orders, the public is discouraged from attending the meeting but may
participate via the Zoom Meeting. The Wednesday meeting Open Session: 5:00 p.m.
Closed Session Open Session: 5:30 p.m.

Community has been gracious with contributions with grocery gift cards and
donations to assist students dealing with hardships during the COVID-19 Crisis.
Bear
Valley Unified Schools included: Big Bear Elementary, Big Bear Middle School, Big
Bear High School, Big Bear Chautauqua High School, North Shore Elementary,
Baldwin Lane Elementary and Fallsvale School.
