Tuesday January 18,
2018 Big Bear Fire Department was alerted of a structure fire at in Erwin Lake by
a neighbor that saw smoke coming single-story from a home, located near Oak
Road. Several units and firefighters responded immediately from local departments.
Once firefighters quickly
knocked down the fire, assured there were no residents at home and cleared
smoke, they established that a floor heater had ignited the carpet on fire. Because
of the early response, the damage estimate was determined minimal.
