Snow Summit and Bear Mountain Opening Days

Bear plans to spin the lifts for the public starting at 8:30 am,
Friday the 28th of November!
Big Bear, CA. As long as we have great snowmaking conditions we can open as planned on Friday! We will be offering early season pricing which will be announced next week…so stay tuned. We will operate from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Just can’t wait until Friday? Snow Summit has plans to be open for the season on Wednesday, November 26th with top to bottom skiing and riding as well as terrain for all ability levels including terrain features.
While Snow Summit Resort will stay open through the week, Bear Mountain will re-open again Saturday and Sunday the 6th and 7th of December and will then open for daily operation on Friday, December 12th.
For our much anticipated opening on Friday, we will be operating Chair 1 with hopes to also operate Chair 9 to allow access to the summit. We will have only Intermediate and Advanced Terrain open which will offer small features- the more snow we can make between now and then the greater the number and scope! Ski and Snowboard School will not be offered this weekend at Bear Mountain.
