San Bernardino County Fire Crews

 Dispatched Monday Morning

to Commercial Fire

June 6, 2022, Monday morning, San Bernardino County Fire Crews were dispatched to a reported commercial fire in the area of South Waterman and East Mill Street in San Bernardino. Multiple 9-1-1 callers stated smoke and fire was coming from a building.

SBCoFD Firefighters quickly arrived on-scene to find heavy smoke and fire showing from the medium sized, single story commercial occupancy. The Fire Crews initiated a transitional fire attack, working to knock back the fire. Despite the Firefighters best efforts, the fire continued to grow.

SBCoFD Crews worked from a defensive posture utilizing large volumes of water to suppress the fire and keep the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings. Ultimately the fire was knocked down in 60 minutes.

The building, vacant at the time of the fire was heavily damaged. A SBCoFD Fire Investigator was requested to complete a cause & origin investigation. The fire remains under investigation.

*San Bernardino County Fire responded with five Engines, two Trucks, a Battalion Chief and a Fire Investigator.
