No trip to Big Bear Valley is complete without a visit to the Museum. Here, the exciting and romantic history of this fascinating high mountain country is preserved by numerous exhibits that include the Indian period to the present time. Many additional new displays keep the museum changing and growing with each passing season.
  • See...a furnished authentic 1875 log cabin; gold mining artifacts, including a rare stamp mill; cattle ranching and lumbering exhibits from the early days; displays of native animals, birds, and reptiles; memorabilia from the glamorous days of Hollywood's super stars; exhibits of toys, antique wagons, glassware, historic photographs, minerals and countless other artifacts from the distant past.
  • The museum was created and is operated by the Big Bear Valley Historical Society, a non-profit corporation. The members who maintain the facility are all volunteers.
