Photographer Richard Millener is owner-operator of Millener Productions, located in the Village of Big Bear Lake. As a graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography with a Bachelor of the Arts in Professional Photography, Millener established the color portrait photo studio in 1979. Displayed throughout the studio are recognitions and awards Millener has won for his unique style and outstanding photography. Today Millener Productions is recognized as the longest established Color Portrait Studio in the valley. Large selections of professional photography are available including: Fine Color Portraits, Wedding, Anniversary, and Graduation Portfolios, Celebrity & Glamour Shots, Family & Children’s Portraits, Pet Portraits, and Christmas Cards. Photographer Richard Millener’s clientele is drawn from various corners of the globe. Special expertise is practiced with Copy & Restoration of Heirloom Portraits, Outdoor & Environmental Photography, Passport Photos, Black & Whites, Industrial, Commercial and Special Event Photography. Every effort is taken to give individual attention with focus on each patron‘s request. This Old West historian introduced the Old Time Photo Studio at the Big Bear Ocktoberfest in 1979; thus a turning point in Richard Millener’s career. The Old Time Photos, humorous or nostalgic brown-tone (sepia tones), are favorite memoirs valued by everyone. There are a variety of character costumes to choose from such as Indians, Cowboys, Southern Bells, Saloon Girls, Gangsters and even Civil War uniforms. Often referred to as the “Village Photographer”, Millener has been the photographer for many Old Miners Days celebrations, as well as many other Big Bear Valley events.  Millener’s witty personality combined with his skillful talents makes for very specialized photography.
