The Alpine Pedal Path in Big Bear Lake is a must-do on your list of “Free Things to Do” in Big Bear. Visitors along with their families and dogs can enjoy this incredible, easy Nature Walk that is so popular with the locals. Not only is the walk good for your health, but the scenery will take your breath away. Any time of day is good, but it is particularly beautiful in the late afternoon.

The Alpine Pedal Path is 3.2 miles one way and stretches from the Stanfield Cutt-off to the Serrano Campground. The Pedal Path is also a great place for people to ride their bicycles, as the path is fairly level and an easy ride.

There are benches along the way, where you can take a rest or meditate. Whether you take a brisk walk or just wander along enjoying the view, you will see fisherman along the way relaxing by the water and families enjoying an outdoor meal using the BBQ’s and picnic tables at Juniper Point.

Please note that Dogs must be on a leash and there is no overnight camping. Open Dawn to Dusk.
