One-woman show!

Friends of the Big Bear Valley Library will sponsor the 2018 Old Miners Days Chautauqua, Saturday, July 21st, at the Big Bear Lake Library.  Beginning 2:00 - 3:30 P.M., the annual historical program features award-winning actress Judith Helton’s portrayal of Lotta Crabtree.

In 1853, at 6 years old little Lotta became a child performer, singing, dancing and entertaining in the mining camps of the gold country of Grass Valley –Nevada City, California.  Her fame grew into her being known as Miss Lotta the San Francisco Favorite.

Through Helton’s portrayal of the Gold Rush Days’ performer, Miss Lotta ‘comes alive before her live audience’ and continues to entertain both, adult and student audiences, today. The no-charge admission even is open to the public.  Early arrival is suggested, as seating is limited.

The Chautauqua Presentation will be held at th Summit Christian Fellowship Church 2:00 - 3:30 P.M., at 41965 Garstin Road, across the street from the Big Bear Library Branch Library.

Guests are invited by the Friends of the Big Bear Valley Library to the Chautauqua Reception, at the Library, immediately following the program.
