Singing All The Way to
CARNEGIE HALL

From the Voice
Studio of Diane Sloan Kubeja
January 25,
2019___ Big Bear High School student, Ely
Dawson, was awarded 2nd Place in the High School Musical Theatre Men
division of the NATS Cal-West Regional Student Auditions in Reno, Nevada
over the holiday weekend, January 18-20th. Ely performed three
contrasting Musical Theatre selections and progressed through two-rounds of
the competition, but his rendition of "I'm Not That Smart" from the
25th Annual Putnam County
Spelling Bee ultimately won the hearts of the judges and the audience!
Ely Dawson
was sponsored into the competition through the Voice Studio of Diane Sloan
Kubeja. He now progresses onto the YouTube Round, headed toward the
national level of competition. Congratulations Ely!
