The EAGLES TRIBUTE Premier Band
DESPERADO
The
CAVE in the Village of Big Bear Lake
Saturday May 25th

The Desperado
guys that make the magic happen are:
Born
in Pasadena in the fifties and raised in Southern California, Kevin
started his musical interests early, picking up the drums in seventh grade
and continuing through High School doing the garage band thing and learning
drums and vocals as well. This led to an original music showcase band managed
by Frank Zappa's road manager and numerous local concerts. This band dissolved
and that led to various club gigs that led him to Colorado in the seventies. Playing
the western states club circuit for a few years led him back to Southern
California for an extended stint in the Orange County nightclub scene.
After years of club gigs and various drum and vocal studio side gigs, Kevin
connected with Desperado and was asked to be in the band; and has been an
active member of this project for twelve plus years. Kevin credits his love
of music, his drum and vocal ability to his grandfather, who was in a vocal
quartet and also in vaudeville as a trombonist, drummer and vocalist in
Indiana, also his father, who was a big band singer in Indianapolis and the
Indiana area during the forties. On my
father’s side there was always music and I thank them for the
influence".
Growing up in the sixties and
seventies Ricky was introduced to some of the greatest music of our history. Starting at six years
young and playing professionally by the ripe old age of nine he found his
calling early in life including playing on local television shows by age
ten. Performing constantly throughout his early years he finally started
touring by eighteen.
After three years on the road with a successful band from Richmond VA area
named Bull, he made his way west for the opportunity and weather! He
immediately became very busy and popular with several acts gaining a
following with many performances both live and sessions. Working with
the national act, The Chantays from the hit song “Pipeline”, he got more
national exposure.
Eventually writing his own songs he released a CD getting international
acclaim. Doing several international tours for government sponsored
events he got to travel abroad for even more experience. Ricky won many
awards as Guitarist and International Artist of the Year for NACMAI. He
got the offer to join a band that played some of his all-time favorite music.
This music was by the Eagles and this band was Desperado. Falling in
place like a well fitted glove Ricky has the pleasure of touring each year
with this act. It has become one of his finest experiences with his
music career. Desperado stands up to the highest standard of any
national act. The band is constantly being compared to the original
Eagles show. Ricky’s journey has been a long and successful one with no
end in sight!
Aaron
Broering was born in Garden Grove California. He
is no newcomer to the music industry Aaron's mother was singing guitarist,
and keyboardist in the local church and his father was a drummer. Aaron’s
musical background began at an early age, and was formally founded in 1995,
as a Music major at San Diego State University. Aaron received his
bachelor’s degree in music Education in 1998 from SDSU and has been on the go
ever since.
In every appearance you can expect nothing but faithful and creatively
artistic re-creations of the songs being performed; which fully demonstrate
the levels at which Aaron has taken his unique talent. This has allowed Aaron
the opportunity to perform and share the stage with some legendary talent
such as: LeAnn Rimes, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Don Felder and
Timothy B. Schmit (Eagles), John Oates of the legendary duo Hall and Oates,
J.D. Souther (who wrote hit songs for the Eagles), Joe Don Rooney (Rascal
Flatts), Al Jardine, David Marks (The Beach Boys), Grammy award winning
Mandolin player Sam Bush, Juice Newton, and more.
In 1999 Aaron toured the country as lead singing guitarist, and keyboardist
with the Band Hotel California. Aaron also had the pleasure of playing
original material for the Troops in Bosnia, Kosovo, Germany and Hungary in
2001.
In 2002 Aaron co-founded and fronted the nationally renowned Eagles Tribute
Desperado. Aaron and Desperado continue to play music festivals and
fairs. The group specializes in playing performing art centers and large
casino showrooms as well as local hot spots like Spotlight 29 Casino, House
of Blues, The Coach House and The Canyon Club; delivering strikingly accurate
versions of the Eagles music.
In 2003, Aaron released his debut CD the Road Less Traveled. It was fondly
written about by Orange county music critique a Robert Kinsler.
Along with Desperado Aaron also dove into one of his other major influences
by co-founding and fronting the Pink Floyd band “Shine On”. Shine On has
played and sold out such rooms as the Orange County Pavilion three
times. The band has played in their entirety such Classic Albums as Dark
Side of the Moon, and Wish You Were Here. Not to rest there, Aaron Took on the role of
“the edge” and co-founded and fronted the U2 tribute band “One”.
In 2007 Aaron finished and released his second c.d. entitled “Reason to
Believe”. Robert Kinsler again spoke fondly about it.
“From the reflective Sleep On it, to the driving Sweet Surrender, there is an
obvious fondness for sounds of the past, along with a kind of timelessness
that usually eludes the retro approach heard here”.
The c.d. was also fairly and flatteringly compared to such great artists as
The Eagles, and Jackson Browne.
Aaron's newest endeavor is playing guitar, keyboards and singing lead in the
Surf City All-Stars which is comprised of Former and current members of the Beach
Boys, as well as surf legend Dean Torrence of Jan and Dean.
Aaron continues to teach private voice, guitar and piano instruction in the
Orange County area as well as travelling and playing with his various bands.
