38th Autumn Annual HOME TOUR
Wine & Cheese Tasting
Come Saturday October
7th beginning at 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. and
revel in Big Bear Valley’s Fall
foliage and delight in remarkable
homes while magic seems to fill the
air as Autumn in the mountains settles. The mountain-top community shows
off its charm and architecture during the 38th Annual Hearth and
Home Tour, sponsored by Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley.
This year, in addition to the Traditional
Home Tour, guests are offered the option to experience a Wine and Cheese Tasting event held from
12:00 Noon until 3:00 P.M. in Big Bear Valley’s beautiful mountain setting.
The Hearth and Home Tour is a great opportunity to appreciate the unique
architecture, as home hostesses guide you through a collection of amazing homes,
from historic log cabins to modern, rustic McMansions, found in the Valley.
Experience the colors and aromas of
autumn as residents welcome us to their homes. “Fall is absolutely the most spectacular
time of year in Big Bear Valley,” comments Dawn Marschinke, Committee Chair for the Hearth
and Home Tour. “Fall’s colors that surround these homes provide a natural accent.
Our guests will not only get to experience remarkable homes, but experience the
ambiance of the season. The Wine and
Cheese Tasting event will give our guests the opportunity to taste a unique
selection five wines while enjoying the beautiful forest at the exceptional Alpenhorn Bed & Breakfast Inn.”
Big Bear Lake is
recognized as one of the few places in Southern California where one can see
such a spectacular display of Fall foliage. Evening temperatures are cool,
providing the perfect conditions for leaves to turn brilliant shades of gold,
crimson and amber.
A $30
ticket includes a tour of each home. Tickets for the Wine and
Cheese event are available for an additional charge of $15. Tickets for both

Home Tour tickets only,
will also be available at Interiors Home Furnishings, Big Bear Visitors Center,
Haus & Home, The Village Sweet Shoppe and Fox Farm Antiques.
Ticket books and Wine and
Cheese Tasting tickets will be available for purchase at check-in at Wheeler
Steffen Sotheby’s Real Estate Office, 596 Pine Knot Avenue, Big Bear Lake.
