Ice Cream



The Friends of the Big Bear Alpine Zoo invite everyone to Saturday afternoon at the Annual Ice Cream Safari.  Beginning at 12:00 Noon and ending by 3:00 P.M. (or ‘til the ice cream runs out), June 16, 2018, there will be five ice cream stations located throughout the zoo, each offering a different flavor.   

The Big Bear Alpine Zoo General Zoo Admission rates are: Adults $12.00; Children 3 to 10 years old and Seniors 60+ $9.00; under 3 years old are admitted at no cost.

Ice Cream Safari Tickets are $5 person for 5 scoops of ice cream. Enjoy your bowl of ice cream as you peruse the Big Bear Alpine Zoo and learn about the Zoo’s residents/animals and why they live there.



This yummy Ice Cream Safari will take place inside the Big Bear Alpine Zoo property, located at 43285 Goldmine Drive in Big Bear Lake.

The Friends of the Big Bear Alpine Zoo was formed in 1989 as a non-profit public benefit corporation whose purpose is to support the Big Bear Alpine Zoo through: (1) Educating the public regarding treatment, protection, and conservation of wildlife; (2) Recruiting and coordinating zoo volunteers; and (3) Fundraising.
