The WOLVES that is… & Howl at the MOON!

Big Bear Alpine Zoo
joins zoos across the United States
in celebrating Wolf
Awareness Week October 15-21 2017
Celebrate Wolf Awareness Week with the Wolves! Saturday
October 21st Big Bear Alpine Zoo Keepers
will be highlighting the zoo’s Wolf pack. It’ll be an opportunity to sharpen
your skills in Wolf Behavior Interpretation and join the pack in a Wolf Community
howl. Hourly enrichment presentations will begin at 12:00 Noon and close at 3:00
P.M. Special activities for guests of all ages will keep everyone howling
in approval!
During the week of
October 15th thru 21st, Keepers will emphasize the
importance of Wolves to their ecosystem with daily dedicated Keeper Talks. Saturday
October 21st, specific attention will be on the roles that Wolves
play in maintaining this delicate balance through Keeper Talks and enrichment
presentations.
At the Big
Bear Alpine Zoo, we educate the public about the roles that all animals
play in perpetuating a healthy environment, emphasizing the greater role that
humans play in protecting both species and habitat. Like a large mosaic, a
healthy environment is comprised of many integral sections. In parts
of the United States, Wolves play a vital role in maintaining the delicate
balance of their habitat.

Come and celebrate the
final day of Wolf Awareness Week at the Big Bear Alpi ne Zoo on October 21st
