SHERIFF’s P.R.C.A. RODEO



The 17th
Annual P.R.C.A. Sheriff’s Rodeo is coming to the Glen Helen Regional
Park,
Friday September 16th and will continue through Sunday September 18th.
Gates open at
4:00 P.M. Friday and Saturday.
The Rodeo
starts at 8:00 P.M. Friday and Saturday.
Saturday - Challenged
Children’s Rodeo at 6:00 P.M.
prior to the
main event at 8:00 P.M.
Gates open at 2:00
P.M. Sunday with the Main Rodeo Starting at 6:00 P.M.
Several of the world’s
top professional cowboys will be performing bareback and saddle bronc-riding,
bull riding, steer wrestling, tie down roping, barrel racing and team
roping. Also, performing will be PRCA Rodeo Clown Punkintown
and the Norco Drill Team. This year’s
entertainment will include Cowboy Kenny

Friday night’s event
will be dedicated to bringing awareness to Domestic Violence. The rodeo will be
making a donation to the Man Up Crusade. Wear purple this night to the rodeo – Take
A Stand and Break the Cycle of Domestic Violence.
For Saturday,
September 17th, we will be asking, ‘Are you Tough Enough to Wear Pink?’
Wear pink Saturday night to the rodeo and show your support for Breast
Cancer Awareness. The Rodeo will
be making a donation to Loma Linda University Hospital for Breast
Cancer Research.
Both Friday and
Saturday night’s rodeos will be followed with a Dance and Live Music by the Killin’
Time Band featuring Brad Johnson.
Sunday’s performance
will be dedicated to Public Safety Personnel. A joint honor guard team comprised of members
from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and San
Bernardino County Fire will be Posting The Colors, followed by a
moment of silence prior to the start of the Rodeo.
The Sheriff’s Rodeo Tickets are $15.00 each
for Friday’s Rodeo and $20.00 for Saturday’s Tickets. The Sunday Rodeo Tickets are $10.00 each. Children 6 years old and under are free each
night. Parking is $5.00
Proceeds from the 17th Annual P.R.C.A. Sheriff’s Rodeo
event will continue to support the youth in our community with the ultimate
goal of developing them into responsible citizens. Cash donations will be given
to the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, the Challenged Children’s Rodeo, Children’s Fund, the 4H
Club of San Bernardino, the Yucaipa Equestrian Center, the California State
Horsemen’s Association, Loma Linda University Hospital for Breast Cancer Research,
Man Up Crusade - bringing awareness to Domestic
Violence, East Valley Second Chance, and several service clubs.
Rodeo fans are encouraged
to arrive early and meander among the merchandise vendors of foods, beverages and novelty items.
The rodeo grounds are
located at the Glen Helen Regional Park, 2555 Glen Helen Parkway; also in
Devore a short distance from the I-15/I-215 interchange. Take the Devore turn off or Glen Helen
Parkway.
