WALK a MILE in HER SHOES Event Sunday October 2, 2016, 12:00 Noon beginning at the Community Church in Big Bear Lake.





DOVES’ WALK a MILE in HER SHOES is an annual event that raises awareness as well as funds in support of stopping domestic violence. Civic leaders, business owners, men, women, children and Valley visitors are all invited to attend the fun, while showing their support.

Walkers will meet before noon, at the Community Church in Big Bear Lake, located at 40946 Big Bear Boulevard. They’ll fit on women’s high-heels and parade Pine Knot Avenue in the Village at Big Bear Lake.

The whimsical efforts of walking in the heels, is a demonstration of the difficulty that many have experienced when faced with threatening abuse.
