The Village of Big Bear
Lake will
liven-up once again for the traditional Fall Wine Walk, Saturday September 24th. The Village Business Association (VBA) of Big
Bear Lake will host the 2016 event that attracts residents and Big Bear Valley
visitors.
Beginning
at 3:30 P.M. walkers can stroll the Village of Big Bear Lake and browse the
variety of shops while sampling the selective wines. Saturday will be an afternoon of great wines,
wonderful hors d'oeuvres, live-music, fresh mountain, lake views and
socializing and meeting friends.
Guest
check-in will begin at 2:30 P.M. at the corner of Pine Knot Avenue and Village
Drive. Wine Walk-ers (participants) must be at least 21 years old.
New
this year, the Village Business Association will be offers a VIP ticket,
including $5.00 transportation to the event and free rides home, double raffle
tickets, express VIP check-in and a complimentary wine yoke.
“Food
Only” tickets can be purchased for $20 each and sold at www.bigbearlakevillage.com or at The UPS Store,
located on Village Drive.
The
merchant-organized Fall Wine Walk showcases fine wines from around the world
and the Village’s unique businesses. The VBA welcomes Classic Wines of
California, Southern Wine and Spirits, Wilson Creek Winery and Joseph Filippi
Winery and Vineyards and many more as participants in our 2016 Village Fall
Wine Walk.
Ticketholders
will receive a map of the 28 participating businesses, a commemorative wine
glass, raffle ticket and badge, 12 wine tasting tickets and a wristband, at
check-in.
The
Wine Walk will end at 7:00 P.M., shortly followed by a Prize Drawing that will
be held in front of Home Warehouse Design Center for event attendees.
“The Wine Walk has grown into a fabulous event
that we designed to feature merchants here in the Village, but to also showcase
all businesses and organizations in the valley.” said Cheri Wilson, chair of
the VBA Wine Walk and owner of Home Warehouse Design Center, a participating
store in the event. “The Fall wine walk is a great opportunity to taste a
variety of wines you might not ever have a chance to taste.”
A
portion of the proceeds to be donated to Big Bear Valley Education Trust,
Christmas in the Village, Fourth of July Fireworks and numerous other events
for the Big Bear Lake.
