A DAY in History
9-11
September 11, 2001 was one of the
worst days in American history, one that we will never forget. Today, we mourn
with the families who lost loved ones and stand with the survivors of the
attacks.
It is in moments like these we see the strength and resilience of our
nation, beautifully displayed by the heroic acts of the first responders who
raced to Ground Zero. All risked, and some gave their lives trying to save
others, now many suffer from grave illnesses as a result of their bravery.
As we reflect on the tragedy of that day, this year we can also rejoice
in the permanent approval of the September 11th Compensation Fund,
ensuring those heroes will receive the medical care they deserve for
sacrificing so much.
Join the country in a moment of silence as we reflect on the events that
took place that dark day, to remember those we lost, and to honor those still
with us.
God
bless America!
