Incumbent candidate

for 3rd-term

Big Bear Airport

 District Board of Directors

After serving for eight years, including three-years as the current Board President of the Big Bear Airport, Steve Castillo feels he’s learned a lot about the function of the Board and wants to continue utilizing those skills and experience to guide the near future of the Airport.

Castillo, is a highly experienced Corporate Pilot with more than 24-years of professional service.

For the past eight-years as a Chief Pilot for a Corporate Flight department, Castillo is   currently the Lead Captain flying a Citation-X for one of the largest Charter Management companies in California.  With 37-years of overall aviation experience, his early career includes employment with the Los Angeles County Airport System, of which owns seven of the Los Angeles area airports.

While employed there he learned many aspects of airport operations which give him a unique understanding of the airports specific needs, and staff functions. Castillo keeps up-to-date on airport operations as he visits many airports throughout the country on a regular basis.

His many years of community service has also given him a unique perspective on the important relationship between airport management and community outreach.

Steve Castillo encourages the community to keep informed about the progression of the Airport by attending the regular monthly Big Bear Airport District Board meetings; as he encourages the Big Bear Airport District Board to continue the practice of transparency. Steve Castillo is eager and most excited to continue his service to the community.  Please vote for Steve!
