Mother & Son
Dale attended and graduated in 2004 from Chataqua High School. He
had many friends from High School Days and his childhood in Big Bear
Valley. Comments of outgoing friendship
were similar to ‘When Dale was around, a bad time wasn’t possible.’ Dale’s buddy-friend, Dog Bubba took-up
residence in his heart.
A passion began early in Dale’s life that played a big part in his daily
routine. He took guitar lessons from Mr.
Howard, a high school teacher, that lead him into entertaining in Big Bear Valley and other locations. Good friends and new audiences loved Dale’s slappin’
his Bass Guitar at many Community Church and Summitt Christian Fellowship services
and numerous nightlife gigs. Jamming with
other musicians, scored high on Dale’s list.
Mr. Guitar Man in his
element!
Dale Andrew Derstine met life’s struggles and
challenges head-on, and strove to keep a positive attitude. He loved life, traveled the country, as
well as got to experience other countries, in his short lifetime.
Dale’s mother, Francine laments about her son’s gift of creating many friendship
bonds with people and was so full of Love and Humor. “His contagious smile, happy spirit, and
corny jokes brought smiles to all. He was always reaching out a hand
of help wherever he could. We’ll miss Dale, dearly.”
Dale Andrew Derstine passed away at home in Big Bear
City, California, Monday morning August 6, 2018 at the age of 32 years-old. God Bless!
