Response
to the Governor’s
$$$ 113 Billion Budget ?
Friday January 9, 2015, Assemblyman Jay Obernolte (R-Big Bear Lake) released the
following statement in response to Governor Brown’s $113 billion California
state budget proposal:
“I am optimistic to see that the Governor’s budget includes
paying down the wall of debt and setting aside money in the rainy day fund to
minimize the impact of a future recession. I am also encouraged that the budget
contains an increase in court funding. The recent court closures in my
district have restricted access to justice and I am hopeful that this
additional funding will provide the resources needed to reopen these
facilities.
“Unfortunately, the Governor’s aggressive environmental policies
will continue to hamper economic growth by increasing costs on families and
businesses throughout my district and the state. In order to continue our
economic recovery, we need to implement policies that incentivize innovation
and create jobs.”
