Big Bear Lake, CA/June 29, 2021–

A Big Bear Lake residential structure located on North Eagle Drive was reported to be on fire Tuesday afternoon. Upon their arrival, Big Bear Fire Crews observed a two-story residence with smoke showing from the front and rear of the house.

The structure fire required immediate attention from Big Bear Fire Battalion Chief Luke Wagner with all the Fire Department units and crews, to be on-scene, as well as assistance from SB-Big Bear Sheriff Deputies in-command of the response. 

The Fire Fighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze within approximately ten minutes; with damage contained to one room of the house. The occupants of the structure were not home at the time of the incident, but their small dog, Lulu the French Bulldog was rescued by Big Bear Fire Fighters.  

The cause of the fire is under investigation by Big Bear Fire Department.
