TASK FORCE Force Rescues

26-year-old Female

San Bernardino County Sheriff - Human Trafficking Task Force

San Bernardino County Sheriff - Human Trafficking Task Force Investigators located an online advertisement of a possible juvenile victim of the commercialized sex industry, being advertised at an unknown location in the City of Ontario. Investigators immediately initiated an undercover operation to contact, locate and rescue the victim.  Monday, August 10, 2020 the SBCSD Investigators located the victim at a motel in the 1500 block of 4th Street in Ontario, California.

Through surveillance and additional investigation, the investigators were able to positively identify the victim as she exited her motel room and then contacted her in a nearby parking lot. During their contact with the victim, she was determined to be 26 years of age and a resident of Stockton, California

While speaking with the victim, investigators gained information which supported their belief of her involvement in the commercial sex industry. The victim claimed to be at the location alone and working independently.  Investigative efforts to identify or locate any additional victims, suspects or associates were met with negative results. During her contact with investigators, she admitted to having been the recent victim of Human Trafficking and expressed her desire for help to get out of the commercialized sex industry. Investigators conducted an intervention to help rescue the victim, providing her with information and access to services and education to assist her in leaving the industry.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff - Human Trafficking Task Force is made up of investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department, San Bernardino County District Attorney Office, Ontario Police Department, Redlands Police Department, California State Parole, Office of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
