May 11, 2020 __ California Highway Patrol __   

Sunday afternoon, May 10, 2020, male motorcyclist was traveling on a black 2019 Suzuki motorcycle, southbound on State Route 18.  Approximately one mile from Mormon Spring Road, when for unknown reasons the motorcyclist failed to negotiate the left curvature of the roadway; causing the Suzuki to drift right, where it collided into the guardrail. The motorcyclist was ejected from the Suzuki and struck the guardrail and the roadway.  

San Bernardino County Fire Crew and American Medical Response (AMR) responded to the scene. CPR was being performed on the a 23-year-old male from Fontana at the scene prior to being transported. AMR transported the rider to Saint Bernadine Medical Center where the young man was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

California Highway Patrol Arrowhead Area Officer R. Garibay will be handling the collision investigation. At this time, it is unknown if alcohol or drugs was a factor in this collision.
