March
21, 2019____ The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District
#8, is extending the emergency slope repairs on State Route 18 (SR-18) in the Big
Bear Lake area near the Big Bear Dam. While Caltrans Maintenance Crews are working
the area, there will be a one-way flagging operation.
Please
be advised there will occasionally be a 30- minute full-closure in the
area.
This
operation will require the contractor to work seven days a week from 8:00 A.M.
to 5:00 P.M.
Due
to recent inclement weather, the work is anticipated to be complete in two to
three weeks. At the end of each day, the road way (SR-18) will be fully open in
both directions. Be advised inclement weather will affect the completion of
this project.
State Route 38 is on the north of the Big Bear
Lake Bridge
