Residential Structure Fire

March 25, 2022 Big Bear Lake, CA___

Early Friday morning, a residential structure fire was reported in the 500 block of Riverside Avenue, Sugarloaf, at approximately 4:05 A.M. Upon arrival, Big Bear Fire Crews observed smoke showing from the second-story bedroom window. The Firefighters quickly went into offensive attack mode and were able to extinguish the fire within approximately 10 minutes. The Fire Crews remained on scene for an hour to ensure complete extinguishment.  An occupant of the home self-evacuated prior to Big Bear Firefighters’ arrival. 

The structure fire required all units from the Big Bear Fire Department, located in Big Bear Lake, to respond with assistance from San Bernardino County Sheriff Deputies; Big Bear Fire Battalion Chief Dan Rogers was on-scene and in command of the response. 

Cause of the fire is under investigation by Big Bear Fire Department.
