Fatality
at Lower Passing Lane

Alert was issued for State Route 330 below the Lower Passing Lane, at the 3000
foot level, originally reported as a Traffic Collision, upon investigation
discovery of a male body that had been the victim of a hit & run.
California Highway Patrol (Running Springs) controlled traffic to alternating
lanes.
According to CHP Sgt.
William Morrall, the male victim was hit in the upbound lane but knocked approximately
50 feet away. Shoes and personal belongings were strewn about. Identity of the victim will be released after
notification of next of kin.
