San Bernardino National Forest

Temporary Closure in effect

As of this week, San Bernardino National Forest is temporarily closed for all activities. This includes camping, hiking, OHVing, scenic driving and permitted wood cutting. These restrictions are for public safety and to reduce the potential for human caused fires.

Closures will also suspend certain attractions in Big Bear Lake, including the Big Bear Jeep Experience, Baldwin Lake Stables and the Snow Summit Bike Park.

Be Respectful, Leave No Trace

While much of Big Bear Lake remains open, we ask all guests to please be respectful when visiting. Whether you decide to enjoy a lake-side picnic in a park, a stroll in the village or one of our great attractions, please make sure to leave no trace and practice social distancing. Leaving trash is not only an eyesore, but also harmful for local wildlife and littering will lead to fines.
