Rescues & Releases Victim to
San Bernardino Department of Child and Family Services
The San Bernardino County Human Trafficking Task Force Investigators received
a tip from the FBI, Monday, October 18, 2021. The tip indicated a female
juvenile was in the San Bernardino area, possibly working as a prostitute.
Investigators conducted an online search of local escort ads, locating an ad
depicting a juvenile female matching the description provided in the tip.
The Task Force Investigators initiated an undercover operation to
locate the juvenile, ultimately contacting her near the 500 Block of North H
Street in San Bernardino. The juvenile was detained and positively identified
as the victim from the tip.
The victim was determined to be listed as a Missing Person out of Los
Angeles County. She was transported to the Central Station for an
investigational interview. The victim was immediately provided access to
services and resources for victims of Human Trafficking and safely released to
the San Bernardino Department of Child and Family Services.
The San Bernardino County Human Trafficking Task Force is made up of
investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department, San Bernardino
City Unified School Police Department, and Federal Agencies.
Community involvement plays an integral part in the fight against Human
Trafficking, and law enforcement appreciates and encourages the assistance and information
provided by the public.
