Heading into Election Day
Coalition of Influential Local Leaders
CA ___ October 30, 2020 Friday___
Assemblyman Jay Obernolte announced he
is heading into Election Day with an overwhelming number of local leaders endorsing
him, from all political parties. Obernolte’s local support outnumbers his
far-left opponent by almost six to one. Obernolte’s support includes
Republicans, Democrats and Independents who have seen his effectiveness as a
legislator and know he will be an effective voice in Congress.
“I am proud to have the bipartisan support of local leaders from our district”
Obernolte stated. “I have always fought to do the right thing and make the best
decisions for the people I represent. In Congress, I will continue to fight for
our community. I thank these local leaders for their support.”
“Assemblyman Obernolte has established a broad
coalition heading into election day,” General Consultant Sam Oh said. “In
addition to local leaders, Assemblyman Obernolte has the overwhelming support
of small business groups, law enforcement organizations, taxpayer advocates and
trusted local newspapers. His opponent only has the support of left-wing
special interests and out-of-touch Hollywood liberals. The contrast is clear
and it is why Assemblyman Obernolte will be victorious on Election Day.”
Obernolte has lived in California’s 8th Congressional District for nearly 30
years. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Caltech and a
Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence from UCLA. In 1990 Jay started
FarSight Studios, a software development company, in his college dorm room.
Since then he has created hundreds of jobs and today FarSight Studios employs
dozens of residents of the 8th Congressional District.
Obernolte also has 15 years of experience in public service. He was first
elected to the Big Bear Airport board in 2005, followed by 4 years of service
on the City of Big Bear Lake Council and two terms as Mayor of Big Bear Lake.
In 2014, Obernolte was elected to the California State Assembly and launched
his campaign for Congress in 2019. He ran for Congress on a platform to lower
taxes, fight for veterans, stand with law enforcement, and help combat
