Wednesday December 14th, Assemblyman Jay Obernolte (R-Hesperia) announced that Assembly Republican Leader Chad Mayes has appointed him to the Republican leadership team as Vice Chair of the Republican Caucus for the 2016-17 Legislative Session.

 

The Republican Caucus Vice Chair works with the Leader to implement the legislative strategy of the caucus and advance Republican proposals.

 

“I am honored to continue to serve on the leadership team in Sacramento,” Obernolte said. “It’s important that we advance legislation that will keep jobs in California and promote transparency and government efficiency wherever possible. Our constituents deserve that from their legislative representatives.” 

 

 

Assemblyman Jay Obernolte represents the 33rd Assembly District, which includes the San Bernardino County communities of Adelanto, Apple Valley, Baker, Barstow, Big Bear City, Big Bear Lake, Big River, Crestline, Fort Irwin, Hesperia, Johnson Valley, Lake Arrowhead, Lenwood, Lucerne Valley, Needles, Oak Hills, Phelan, Running Springs, Silver Lakes, Trona, Twentynine Palms Base, Twin Peaks and Victorville.
