March Amazement is Just Ahead

We Started The Week With A Storm….. And It Looks As Though We'll End With One

Mother Nature delivered 9 inches of fresh snow to us Sunday night into Monday and we made snow throughout the storm, last night and into this morning. Bear and Summit Mountains Resort has been blanketed in a fresh layer of fun. You should be here to enjoy these conditions. Looking ahead to this weekend forecasters are calling for a storm to take a very similar track to the last. It also looks as though this storm will be accompanied by snow making temperatures. Longer range forecasts call for this trend to continue. Don't put those skis and snowboards away yet- the best of the season is yet to come!

In the summertime, on a mountain far, far away….On the south side of Mount Hood is Palmer Glacier, the location of High Cascade Snowboard Camp. Since 1990, people from all over the world have participated in this camp. You don’t have to wait for Summer, they are coming from Mt Hood to Big Bear Valley.

The good times of riding real snow in the sun with your buddies are all too familiar at their summer camp and they are planning to bring the summer camp vibe to Bear for a winter visit.

High Cascade Winter Camp at Bear Mountain will be on March 7th and 8th. It is open to participants - 9 to 18 years of age, but camp space is limited, so sign up early at bit.ly/1z9oIfn.

At Snow Summit, skiers and riders will find 17 trails and a total of 21 jibs and 17 snow features. Lifts start spinning at 8:30 A.M. At Bear Mountain, riders will find 19 runs with 132 total features. Chairs also start spinning at 8:30 A.M.
